“Omg Abby!!! I’m dying. These are incredible! I couldn’t think of a better person to capture the best day of our lives… I’m so happy we found you as our photographer!” -Callie, Bride
Urban Daisy in Northeast Minneapolis is that venue. (Like, seriously, the It Girl of Minneapolis wedding venues.)
If you’ve ever dreamed of hosting your wedding in a space that’s somehow equal parts blank canvas and total personality, this is it. Urban Daisy is a dreamy industrial-chic venue with huge windows, high ceilings, and just enough edge to make it cool without feeling cold.
It’s giving elevated Pinterest board— but IRL and better. And the lighting? Unreal. Good light everywhere you look.
Take notes, folks, because this place slaps.
Callie and Brent’s wedding at Urban Daisy in Minneapolis was the perfect blend of warmth, edge, intention, and style. Honestly, I haven’t stopped thinking about it. Or talking about it. Or scrolling through the photos as if I wasn’t the one who took them. (Brb, crying all over again.)

Urban Daisy is an indoor venue, but it has the kind of natural light most wedding photographers only dream about. Seriously, I could’ve taken bridal portraits of Callie facing those windows for hours.
The shadows. The glow. The softness. Chef’s kiss.
There’s just so much space in Urban Daisy to play and move and breathe, whether you’re taking portraits or doing a sneaky little room flip (which, by the way, Urban Daisy’s team absolutely crushes).
They flipped the ceremony space into the reception while everyone was at cocktail hour, and the transformation was everything. Ghost chairs for the ceremony (which perfectly mimicked the expansiveness of the windows, by the way) were almost magically traded for colored linens that elevated the whole vibe.
Also: disco ball backdrop. That’s it. That’s the sentence.
Even though Urban Daisy is a blank canvas, it still manages to have so much character and personality, in so many tasteful ways.
Callie. Sweet, beautiful, mega-stylish Callie. This is a bride who understood the assignment. Her bridal look and wedding accessories had so many thoughtful little details that made me feel like a kid in a candy store once I got my camera on them (and I don’t say that lightly—my fellow flat lay girlies know the serotonin hit I’m talking about).
Her gloves were embossed with “to love and to cherish” for one hand and “always and forever” for the other, and I swear I blacked out a little bit when I saw them (and the shadows they were throwing across the flat lay). Like, okay, poet. Be iconic then.
Oh, and her something blue shoes? A whole moment. I was straight-up obsessed.
As if that wasn’t enough to still my beating heart, the pop of orange in her bouquet played so beautifully against the white walls of Urban Daisy and added the softest, warm glow to her portraits. Those specific color choices in an otherwise starkly white venue were doing so much in the most subtle way, going to show that there’s no shortage of personality pops to incorporate with tasteful use of color.
Okay, deep breath, because we’re about to get emotional.
Callie’s relationship with her mom? The most beautiful thing. They’re legit best friends, and every single photo of them together is completely unstaged, full of joy that didn’t hold back one little bit, and just so… pure. Her mom was 1000% in celebration mode the entire day. She was there to celebrate her girl, and you could feel it in every single frame.
Callie also included her late brother’s guitar in a lot of her portraits, and if that doesn’t hit you right in the heart, nothing will. As if that wasn’t heart-in-throat worthy enough, her dad wore her brother’s motorcycle vest when he walked her down the aisle, further weaving her brother’s memory into the story of the day.
And then—AND THEN—her sister officiated.
Are you seeing the theme here? This was a wedding that put family and love at the center of everything, and I felt it in my bones with every shot I took.
There’s something to be said for how much the style and attire can add to a blank canvas space like Urban Daisy, too.
Even before Brent turned around to see Callie (and singlehandedly stopped time with the way he looked at her), I was obsessed with his navy blue suit, the photos of him and Callie printed on the inside lining of the jacket, and his bowtie which was giving 1000/10 stylish groom energy.
Callie and Brent’s guests understood the assignment, too. So many bright, joyful colors. So many fun silhouettes. Every time I turned around, someone was dancing, laughing, or giving a speech that made me cry behind the camera. The whole vibe was equal parts editorial and effortlessly heartfelt. And every guest candid? Frame it.
They brought so much color and life to the clean, white walls of the venue, and it made absolutely everything pop in the best possible way.
Here’s the thing about Urban Daisy: it’s got range. Like, I could shoot 10 weddings there and every single one would look completely different.
That’s the magic of a true blank slate wedding venue. There’s so much personality in the architecture itself—the clean lines, the exposed beams, the bar area with the greenery and lanterns (which, btw, becomes the dance floor later and is totally iconic).
From a wedding photographer’s perspective, this venue is a dream.
Wide aisle with three people and/or a bride with a ballgown dress to move freely? Check. Space behind the altar for me to sneak into and grab those intimate vow shots? Check. Room for photo and video teams to work their magic without being in anyone’s way? BIG check. The layout just works, no matter how you customize it. And did I mention the lighting? (Yes, but I’ll say it again for the people in the back—THE LIGHTING.)
There are weddings that are beautiful—and then there are weddings like Callie and Brent’s. The kind where everything feels cinematic, but not because it’s staged. Because it’s real. Because the people love big and the moments hit deep and there’s a disco ball backdrop for tipsy little photoshoots with guests.
That’s the kind of day this was.
From the quiet moments of Callie standing by the sweeping windows to the aisle she walked down with her dad and her brother’s spirit stitched into every step… this wedding at Urban Daisy in Minneapolis is truly going to live rent-free in my brain (and my hard drive) for a very long time.
If you’re considering Urban Daisy for your Minneapolis wedding: do it. Full send. There’s not a corner of this space that doesn’t photograph like a dream. Whether you’re going minimal or maximal, classic or a little edgy (hi Callie’s subtle punk-rock-glam vibe with string lights and light leaks, I see you), this venue gets it.
It adapts, it elevates, and it lets you and your wedding day shine.
And if you’re bringing gloves with vows printed on them and bright pops of floral joy? You already know I’m there with seventeen memory cards in one hand and my signature XL iced latte in the other.

We met in a group interview at Topgolf (no, seriously). A few months later, we were accidentally falling in love!
Now? We’re a photo + video duo based in Minnesota, a real-life almost-married couple, and the people you want around when everything’s happening all at once and you don’t want to forget a single second of it!!!
We take this job personally. We document like it’s our own. And we lose it—quietly, professionally, emotionally—every time someone says “I do.”
Come for the art. Stay for the near-feral enthusiasm. Leave with a gallery that’ll wreck you (in a good way).
